A local community for widows and widowers in Blackheath and Greenwich who feel ready to reconnect with life through friendship, shared interests, and gentle social connection.
Life after losing a partner can feel very different from the world around you. Life After Loss is a small local community for widows and widowers in the Blackheath and Greenwich area who may feel ready to reconnect with life again alongside others who understand.
This is not a therapy or counselling group. Instead, the focus is on gentle connection through walks, coffee meet ups, and occasional social activities. Everyone shares the experience of loss, and while some may wish to talk about it at times, the heart of this community is about not forgetting those special memories but also to focus on rebuilding life, forming new friendships, and enjoying meaningful moments together again.
Life After Loss has been created by Sharon Valentine, founder of VALS Consultancy. Through her work in the wedding industry, Sharon has spent many years supporting couples during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Having also experienced loss personally, she understands how life can feel very different afterwards.
This community has been created simply to bring people together locally who share that experience. The intention is to offer a gentle space where widows and widowers can reconnect with life again through friendship, conversation, and shared activities.
